I’m Aurora Airaskorpi and I’m the founder of High on Hope. Thanks for being here.
I’m a career and business coach for creatives and multipassionate, visionary people who want to use their skills and talents to create good vibes in this world.
Why? Because I believe that creative expression is what the world needs. It can help us reach a sense of positivity and hope over cynicism and teach us to find fun and play again.
Together, we’ll create the steps to get you where you want to go.
My values are curiosity, optimism and trust. As much as I love strategising, I’m motivated by tangible results. I’m often referred to as a person who gets stuff done.
Looking back, I know that my path could only truly open once I left my job and went freelance. Which I did in 2021. That allowed me to work in a new way. I could combine my experience in creative work with writing books and other texts, teaching yoga and my new skill—coaching.
Now, I do mainly four types of things:
I coach individuals who want to use their creative talent and vision to grow, achieve bigger impact, or create a life with more meaning. I work with individuals because I love following people’s personal transformation, support crazy, wild ideas, and strengthen people’s belief in themselves.
I collaborate with organisations and projects that share a similar set of values or an inspiring vision. These collaborations typically include strategic consultancy, coaching and/or content production. I work with corporations because I enjoy the societal impact I can create through this type of work.
I write and speak about topics I’m interested in. I do this out of curiosity.
I teach yoga. I do this because of the community. I love connecting with people’s energies and facilitating spaces with real presence.
I’m happy with the combination of things I get to do. It has taken time to get here and I’m still in the process of building my own universe. None of it is ready, nor will it ever be. But I feel aligned with what I put out into the world and the life I get to live outside of my work.
During this time, I’ve also travelled across Europe, looking for a new country to call my home. On my travels, I’ve met many interesting digital-nomad-type people, including my current partner. Now I spend time in Portugal and Finland and occasionally visit the UK.
And don’t get me wrong—I didn’t get to this point alone. I spent more than three years in therapy and paid thousands of euros for coaching. I’ve struggled, and pivoted, and changed my mind dozens of times. And I’m not ready yet. Every year, I see myself evolving, learning more and reaching for new areas to grow.
So this is where I am now. This is the life and career I believe in for myself.
And I know you can find your version of it.
I would be proud to be a part of that journey.
How I ended up here
I used to work in media and communications consultancy for 10 or so years. I did some pretty nice stuff, meaning I worked mostly with science and expert organisations focused on topics such as climate change. I was doing what many people would call “meaningful work.”
But I felt trapped in the 9–5 grind and wanted a life with more adventure.
So, I developed a few different side hustles, like writing books and teaching yoga, to express my creativity in new ways. I studied coaching to learn to interact with people on a deeper level.
It wasn’t that I didn’t enjoy the creative agency work. It was more the structure that I had a problem with. I wanted time, freedom to travel and freedom to work fewer hours. I wanted a more expansive life outside of my job.
Facts you might like to know about me
The choice of the right coach for you is and should be a matter of the heart as well as the head. So here you have some of the more fact-based information about me. You can also get to know me on LinkedIn to learn more about my professional profile.

A Master’s Degree in social sciences from the University of Helsinki, Finland. My major was Media and Global Communications.
A solutions-focused coaching degree from the Summer University of Tampere, Finland, based in the International Coaching Federation (ICF) philosophy and curriculum.
A RYT-200 yoga teacher training and +300 hours of advanced studies in somatics, yin yoga, meditation, tantric philosophy, and myofascial release.
And, even though it's not a degree, I believe that my three years of psychodynamic therapy and several hours of cognitive behavioural therapy have prepared be for this job as a coach more than any specific degree. The work I've done with myself has made me aware of my flaws, reactive responses and defence mechanisms in interpersonal relationships. I use this self-reflection to offer my clients a space where they can be seen, heard and accepted for who they are without forcing anyone to be anything they're not.

Whilst I won’t answer the questions that can only be answered by you, I will ask questions that will challenge your thinking and beliefs. I will get to know your situation in a way that will allow me to ask targeted questions and introduce practices that will suit your situation and personality. In my opinion, the purpose of 1-2-1 coaching is to get your thoughts challenged in a way that would be difficult for you to achieve on your own so this is the part I focus on the most.
